Friends,
Here’s what my opponent for Attorney General, Dan Bishop, said
recently:
In short, my opponent made national news for saying that Trump’s
trial was just like what Black citizens experienced in Alabama in the
1950s.
It’s wild that we even have to say this, but no, that trial did not
remotely compare to the Jim Crow justice system in the South.
He also dismissed 34 unanimous verdicts by a jury as “rigged” and
perpetuated by a “gangster government.”
From someone who wants to be Attorney General, that is dangerous
stuff.
My opponent has been one of the most extreme members of Congress,
but he hasn’t been able to get much done.
But as Attorney General, he would have executive authority. One
person can do a lot of good - or harm - in that position.
At this point, it’s clear that he wants to bring his culture war
politics back to our state. That would be a radical departure from how
the job of AG has been done in the past - and a genuine risk to our
state.
I’m running for Attorney General to protect you and your family. My
opponent is running to fight culture wars.
