Just a few weeks ago, our city voted overwhelmingly to support our campaign and nominate me as your Democratic candidate for At-Large Councilmember. I am honored to carry this mantle and build on the legacies that have helped make DC what it is today.
Although we still have work to do, we need someone who won’t simply point at the problems we face, but rather someone who will be a part of the solution. As your councilmember, that’s exactly what I’ve done. With your support, I was able to introduce legislation to guarantee jobs, restore voting rights, fix the housing voucher backlog, increase the availability of vocational education, and fund a Masters in Social Work program at UDC.
