Are you a True Texan? Claim your bragging rights as a “Certified” True Texan with True Texas Project’s citizen engagement classes and earn your own "Certified True Texan" name badge! We’ll be offering all 5 of the required classes in this weekend session. We know we said the training in Plano in March was the last one, but – well, we had technical difficulties with the recordings, so we're doing it again! But this really should be the last one in person!

Sign up for any or all classes (they’re free!), and increase your knowledge and understanding of what it takes to keep Texas Texan.  Be sure to bring your Liberty Passport – you’ll be able to finish the entire series in this one weekend!  If you don’t have a Liberty Passport, you’ll receive one at the workshops.

Meals: 
After the sessions on Friday evening, we invite anyone who is interested to join us for dinner at a local restaurant to continue the discussions.  On Saturday, there will be a one hour lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00 when you can go out to grab something quickly, or you are welcome to bring a sack lunch.  All meals are self-pay.  Light snacks and water will be provided throughout the two days.

Workshops Descriptions:
Register for as many as you want – or all 5! 

• TTP 101: Friday 5:30-6:30pm
  You’ll learn who we are, what we do, and why we do it. Lead by CEO and founders, Julie & Fred McCarty, you will hear about the origins of True Texas Project, some of the hurdles we’ve encountered, how we grew to 18 satellites located throughout Texas, why we are committed to building the grassroots army, who the enemy is, and how to engage in the fight to save Texas.
• True Texas Liberty:  Friday 6:40-7:40pm
  All the -isms! Explore the differences between Capitalism, Woke Capitalism, Fascism, Nationalism, Socialism, and Communism. This workshop is led by Tim Hardin, former President of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility. You’ll get a deep dive into Marxist ideology and how it has grown into today’s “woke” behaviors. Understanding the differences in these forms of government will prepare you to defend Texas and the freedoms we cherish. 
• True Texas Campaigns: Friday 7:50-8:50pm
  Learn what it takes to run for office, or to help someone else do it. Our instructor, Nate Criswell, is an experienced and knowledgeable campaign consultant and strategist. You will hear tips about preparing, organizing, fundraising, communicating, block walking, and much more. Whether you are running, or you want to help others with their campaigns, this workshop will give you insight on best practices that spell success. There’s always another election! Everyone needs this class.
• True Texas Citizen Advocates: Saturday 8am-noon
  This is our popular 4-hour class about being an effective citizen advocate at every level of government. Facilitated by Fran Rhodes, TTP President, with a team of guest speakers, we’ll cover Citizen Advocacy 101, legislative priorities, how to use the TLO website, the legislative process, testifying at hearings, local government advocacy, and effective communication with elected representatives. This workshop will blast you like a fire hose with information to help you be the best and most effective citizen advocate in Texas! You’ll be ready to hit the ground running for the next legislative session.
• Constitution Boot Camp:  Saturday 1-5pm
  Learn the basics of the Constitution in layman’s terms in just 4 hours! This is not a boring civics class. By the end you’ll be easily able to spot unconstitutional actions taken by our government. You’ll understand why our Constitution has been so successful for so long, and you’ll be able to articulate how it compares to others. You’ll be impressed with how much knowledge you pick up so quickly! Presenter Greg Ball offers personal experience and insight and brings the constitution alive.
