When I saw that Mississippi workers were being cheated out of the wages they had earned, I stepped up to advocate on their behalf and ensure they received the compensation they were owed.

When landlords tried to evict single mothers in the cold of winter – and during the COVID-19 pandemic, no less – I went to bat to fight back and guarantee that moms and their children weren’t left out on the streets.

I don’t back down from a challenge when people need someone in their corner. And that’s why I’m running for U.S. Senate.

I see every day how our elected leaders’ failures create consequences for hard-working individuals. Families shouldn’t have to worry about putting food on the table or gas in the car. But thanks to politicians like my opponent who stand for party over people, too many people are left struggling to make ends meet.
