Since I learned about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign, I committed to training others and raising awareness about the importance of knowing how to control life-threatening bleeding and being equipped for any emergency.

Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

As train-the-trainer of the adopted Dutch STOP THE BLEED® program, and as a specialist for first aid guidelines within the Netherlands Red Cross, it is extremely important that everyone learns to save lives, not only through CPR but also by stopping a catastrophic bleeding. Creating the willingness to help is the first step; the STOP THE BLEED® program complements all other first aid measures when it comes to dealing with bleedings.

Connect with the Stop the Bleed Coalition

The Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.

STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
