I am sincerely proud to announce the endorsement of Reverend Arnold G. Townsend in support of our campaign to represent District 5!

Reverend Townsend is a legend. As a key figure in the fight against redevelopment agencies in the Fillmore, a generational civil rights leader, and lifelong San Francisco activist, his endorsement is meaningful and deeply appreciated.



The Reverend said in his endorsement:

Celebrating Juneteenth

Over 10,000 folks visited District 5 in the Fillmore this weekend for the Juneteenth Festival!

This is one of the nation's largest Juneteenth events, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating our progress as we continue our journey into a brighter future.

The celebration in the Fillmore covered 6 blocks - with each block representing a different decade of music, food, and fashion. Team Bilal had the best time celebrating and making new friends!

Our next major mobilization will be in the Fillmore again, this time for our Campaign HQ opening on Saturday June 22 at 12:30pm - we're expecting over 100 attendees, so make sure to RSVP below!
