We’ve fallen a bit behind where we should be on fundraising at this point in the quarter. But before we ask you to give, we thought you deserved an honest explanation for why your support matters — especially this month.

Our first fundraising numbers of the general election will go public after this month’s FEC deadline. The NRA, Mitch McConnell’s allies, and corporate interests are going to look to see if I took my foot off the gas.

If we show we aren’t taking this race seriously - that’s a risk. When New York Democrats got complacent in 2022, Republicans put a target on those seats and took back the House.

So that’s why posting a strong number this month is so important — to avoid turning this into a $50 million race like my first Senate campaign. And even better if we can do it with contributions from A LOT of people.

That helps me prove that this isn’t another typical DC campaign loaded up with PAC and corporate money (FYI I don’t take PAC money). Your donation sends a message loud and clear that we have an army of people who have my back in this fight.
