Dear John,

Tonight, Prison Fellowship will publicly unveil our new mission and vision for ministry. We’ll gather with staff, board members, and other supporters at National Community Church in Washington, D.C., to mark this milestone and look ahead at what’s to come. The special program will be livestreamed at 7 p.m., and you can join us by

I don’t want to give too much away, but here’s what you can expect: an evening of celebrating God’s faithfulness, hearing how the new mission and vision have taken shape, and praying for the future of Prison Fellowship. We’ll have guest speakers, including formerly incarcerated colleagues, and Pastors Mark and Lora Batterson—who happen to be mentors of mine. You’ll also hear from Prison Fellowship Mission Ambassador Jermaine Wilson, my dear colleague whose

story I shared in my last email.

I couldn’t have said it better than our board chair, Paul Cauwels: “This ministry is about being the hands and feet of Jesus to prisoners and their families. As we come alongside the hurting, we not only get to share the hope of the Gospel with others. Our own hope is renewed, and we are ministered to as well.”

I hope you’ll join us to hear how Prison Fellowship is positioned for even greater impact as we engage the Church. We have so much to look forward to this year as a ministry!

One event I’m especially looking forward to is Restore, our two-day conference for church partners, this fall. Restore offers a collaborative environment for church leaders who want to equip their church in outreach to the community—especially people in the community who are often overlooked and underserved. This conference isn’t just for church leaders already ministering behind bars. It’s for any church leader with a heart for ministering to people who are navigating homelessness, poverty, addiction recovery, or other struggles.

Please tell your church leadership about this incredible opportunity! Or, if you are a church leader, you can

register here today. Come dive into ministry best practices, discover new ways to lean into your God-inspired vision, and learn what it means to mobilize those you’ve been entrusted to lead.

I’m so grateful for your faithful prayers and

support. As always, please

Thank you for making this life-changing work possible!
