REALITY NOW

Welcome to the June 2024 edition of Reality Now.

In 2021, the US committed to end support for unabated fossil fuel projects overseas. But the Export-Import Bank of the United States, an export credit agency, continues to use its public authority and millions in taxpayer dollars to facilitate oil and gas infrastructure that harms communities abroad and accelerates warming for all of us.

On June 6, The Climate Reality Project’s US branch joined other organizations to rally outside of this year's Export-Import Bank conference in Washington, DC to deliver the message loud and clear: they must stop funding fossil fuels.

Recently, the Export-Import Bank approved $500 million to significantly scale up oil and gas production in Bahrain. And that’s just one example of many. Take action today and tell the leadership of the Export-Import Bank to stop the public financing of fossil fuels that are driving the climate crisis. [[link removed]]
