Sterling Heights, Michigan, February 27, 2024 (FOX 2 Detroit) A woman assaulted by a mother and daughter – and who is a concealed pistol license holder – pulled her pistol and shot both attackers… The incident happened when the mother and daughter inside a Jeep Compass followed the victim inside her Dodge Durango going to Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Schoenherr. Chicago, Illinois, February 24, 2024 (ABC7 Chicago) The attempted robbery and shooting happened Saturday just before 11 a.m. in the 0-100 block of North Wabash Avenue in the Loop, Chicago police said. The offender entered a Loop business and unsuccessfully attempted to take property, police said. Another person with a FOID card and a Concealed-Carry License drew their firearm and shot the offender. The attempted robbery suspect fled the scene, but was located by police nearby and arrested. They were taken to a hospital where they were initially reported to be stable with a gunshot wound, police said. Nashville, Tennessee, February 26, 2024 (WKRN.com) Detectives said a preliminary investigation indicates the rideshare drive called 911 twice Monday, first at 9:57 p.m. from the 1100 block of Broadway, where he reported that he had been kidnapped at gunpoint by an individual in his vehicle, but the call disconnected before additional information could be obtained. He then called 911 again at 10:14 p.m., reporting he had just shot a man who robbed and kidnapped him. He said he was at the Herman Street and 16th Avenue North intersection. Gardner was found unresponsive on the ground as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. He then died at the scene, according to police. A loaded pistol was located on the sidewalk near him while the driver’s pistol was found in the driver’s seat of his Chevrolet Tahoe. MNPD said the rideshare driver fully cooperated with Homicide Unit detectives and gave a detailed statement at police headquarters. According to the driver, he gave Gardner a ride to a public housing area when Gardner became agitated, pulled a gun and began making threats. The driver was released after giving his statement, police said.
