John,
Thank you for your prayers. Since we launched our prayer guide last year, over 175,000 of you have joined in praying to our heavenly Father on the ACLJ's behalf. Your prayers are making a huge impact.
This Father's Day, I'm reminded of Jesus' most famous parable. It involves a young man who demanded his inheritance early and left home. He squandered all the money and ended up destitute. After a moment of clarity, the son decided to return home to be a servant in his father's house.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. (Luke 15:20)
Notice that the father anxiously awaited his son's return and ran out to embrace him. The compassionate father forgave the prodigal son and welcomed him back into the house – not as a servant but as his son.
In the same way, our loving heavenly Father anxiously awaits for us to return to Him. And He forgives our sins and celebrates that we were once lost but have now been found.
