Aloha Hawaii Republican Party Fathers,

Happy Father's Day to all the incredible fathers within our community! Today, we celebrate the strength, dedication, and love you bring to your Ohana and our great state. Your unwavering commitment to your loved ones is a cornerstone of our values, and we honor you for the endless sacrifices you make.

Father's Day is a special occasion to recognize and appreciate the role of

fathers in our lives.

It started in the early 20th century when Sonora Smart Dodd, inspired by Mother's Day, wanted to honor her father, a Civil War veteran who raised six children as a single parent. The first Father's Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington. Since then, it has become a nationwide celebration of fatherhood and the invaluable contributions of fathers everywhere.

Let's cherish this day with aloha, joy and gratitude, recognizing the role fathers play in shaping our future.

Warmest Aloha,

Tamara McKay
State Chair, Hawaii Republican Party
