Hi, it’s Dr. Raul Ruiz. I wanted to reach out and wish you and your family a happy Father’s Day!

As a physician and a Congressman, I wear a lot of hats — but the two most important titles to me are “dad” and “husband.”

My daughters, Sage and Sky, are the best parts of my life. They are a constant source of joy, and I’m lucky and proud to be their dad every single day — and I’m so grateful that my wife Monica always empowers me to be the best father I can be to them.

I take the pride I feel in my family into the halls of Congress. As a member of the Congressional Dads Caucus, I’m on the frontlines of the fight for paid family leave, paid family medical leave, and child care.
