LCV

Friend,

This Wednesday is Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, a federal holiday marking the day that over 250,000 Black Americans were finally freed in Texas by executive decree — over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

To honor this pivotal day in history, LCV invites you to a virtual panel conversation with climate organizers and Black leaders across the country to discuss our current political landscape, the impacts of environmental racism, and the intersectionality of issues that affect Black Americans. Join us to learn more about the racial justice challenges still being faced 158 years after Juneteenth and actions you can take to help dismantle racism in your community.

When: Thursday, June 20th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm ET
Where: Virtual Zoom Event (link will be provided after you RSVP)
Who: Climate Action, a program of LCV, featuring guest speakers to be announced soon!

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you there,
