Today is Father’s Day! I want to extend my warmest wishes to all the amazing fathers and father figures out there – your commitment, compassion, and unwavering support truly make a difference in the lives of those around you. Whether you are a biological father, a stepfather, a grandfather, or a mentor, your impact cannot be overstated.

Father's Day is an opportunity for us to reflect on the values we hold dear, the lessons we have learned from our father figures, and the legacy we strive to leave behind for our children. My children are the reason I’m in this race in the first place, and I know many of you can relate to wanting to improve your children’s futures.

And of course, I miss my father today. He was my political mentor and really sparked that interest from a young age. He would always say to me when we would talk about hardships "we’re always bailing out the big banks, corporations and politicians - but when's the last time they ever bailed out the American people"?

That thought has stuck with me through the years, and it’s what has motivated so much of this campaign. He was right then, and he’s still right today.

So here’s to dads. However you spend father’s day, I hope it’s peaceful.
