It’s nearly here – the annual Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP Report) will be published this summer by the U.S. State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (TIP Office).
But what exactly is the TIP Report? If this is your first time hearing about it, you’re not alone! The TIP Report is an invaluable tool in our fight to end modern slavery around the world. It helps us understand the scale of modern slavery by evaluating the anti-trafficking efforts of countries around the world. This comprehensive assessment outlines key information and steps needed to combat human trafficking worldwide. |

Yet, this report is merely words on paper unless policymakers heed its findings. In the hands of advocates and government officials, the TIP Report catalyzes critical action in the fight against human trafficking.
