John,

There are no words.
Israel has secretly detained, tortured, and terrorized thousands of Palestinians in a prison camp, according to a New York Times report, corroborated by an earlier CNN report. Innocent humans have been separated from their loved ones without access to lawyers and subjected to unimaginable horrors at the Sde Teiman military base in southern Israel.

The bravery of whistleblowers and journalists has forced Israel to release some innocent Palestinian civilians for political reasons but without apology or compensation. That even this much is now known to the world is somewhat of a miracle.
Who knows what is yet to be uncovered about what atrocities the Zionist monsters have committed.

I am furious, sad, and heartbroken.

Content Warning: There are extremely disturbing and explicit details beyond this point. Please do not continue if you do not want to read what will be very haunting.

The Atrocities at Sde Teiman include...
* Inhumane Detention: Palestinians have been forced to sit handcuffed and blindfolded in silence on a mat for up to 18 hours a day in open-sided hangars, exposed to the elements, and watched over by soldiers.
* Physical Abuse: Detainees report beatings with batons, rifle butts, and electric shocks during interrogations, causing severe injuries. Some report being forced to wear only a diaper while being interrogated. One detainee, Muhammad al-Kurdi, said, "I was imprisoned for 32 days…It felt like 32 years."
* Sexual Assault: Palestinians report sexual abuse with metal sticks, resulting in severe pain and bleeding. Younis al-Hamlawi, a nurse, recounted being sodomized with a metal stick, causing “unbearable pain.”
* Medical Neglect: Medical procedures at the prison are often performed by underqualified medics. Ibrahim Shaheen, a truck driver, said he was repeatedly shocked during interrogations, causing him to pass out.
* Psychological Torture: Detainees face extreme psychological torture, including sleep deprivation with loud music and relentless interrogations. Fadi Bakr, a law student, said, "I consider them the worst four days of my entire life," after being held in the "disco room" where detainees were forced to listen to deafening music.
* Lack of Basic Rights: Palestinians have been held without charge or legal representation, cut off from the outside world, and unable to communicate with family or receive visits from human rights groups.

These revelations and horrors strengthen my commitment to demanding a permanent ceasefire and doing everything I can to ensure liberation for the Palestinian people. These atrocities cannot be allowed to continue.

Your compassion, hearts, and voices in Los Angeles are loud and clear–you aren't going to stand for this, and neither will I.

It is times like these when the detestable votes of my opponent should be remembered. Jimmy Gomez voted YES to strip funding from UNRWA, the United Nations agency aiding Palestinian refugees, while simultaneously funneling $26 billion to Israel.

Jimmy Gomez doesn't care about the lives of Palestinians. He only cares about his own political career, which is why he has taken over $250,000 from AIPAC and other pro-Israel lobbyists in Washington. This is unacceptable, and we must hold him accountable for his actions.

Jimmy Gomez is complicit in this. We need new leadership.

That is why I'm running. For you. For Palestine. For Peace.

How You Can Help:
1. Donate to UNRWA ([link removed]) : Your financial support goes directly to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, providing critical aid and relief to Palestinian refugees. Your contribution helps provide food, medical care, and support to those suffering under these dire conditions. A UNRWA report confirms these patterns of abuse in other Israeli detention facilities, highlighting the widespread nature of these atrocities.
2. Spread Awareness: Share this email with everyone you know. Let's ensure this issue gets the attention it deserves.
3. Vote: Register to vote and encourage others to do the same. Your vote is crucial in electing leaders who will stand against these injustices.

I am committed to fighting for Palestinians and fighting against Israel's genocide against Gaza. I have called for a permanent ceasefire and stand firmly for a free Palestine. With your help, we can ensure that our voices are heard and that we bring an end to these atrocities.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to justice. Together, we can make a difference.

It’s time for us,

David Kim
