Friend,

As you know, APP is guided by the fundamental belief that human dignity should be at the heart of public policy. This core belief extends to the current debate over how to reform our nation's immigration system.

Recently, APP held an event on Capitol Hill with a number of policy experts exploring ways in which we could improve our immigration system to better protect human dignity and respect the rule of law. You can watch a recap of the event below.

I believe that APP occupies a unique place in the discussion of this contentious, and important issue:

  • We support immigration laws that strengthen families, protect American workers and keep us safe
  • We support a rules-based immigration system that demonstrates respect for the law.
  • We support increased border security infrastructure, enhanced law enforcement capabilities and a southern border wall
  • We seek a fair, America-focused immigration system that respects the human dignity of every migrant
In our interconnected, global economy, American families face threats like never before. Now more than ever, it’s clear that border security, economic security and health security go hand-in-hand, and we must act now to safeguard our future.
