Memphis-Midsouth DSA

Hello comrade,

Our chapter is organizing a delegation and a carpool from Memphis to attend a community meeting this Wednesday aimed at supporting a Community Benefits Agreement with Ford about their construction of an electric vehicle plant in Stanton, TN. We will lend our support to make sure that people who live in the area are heard, their needs met, and their environment unharmed. Please join us in attending this event!

Meet us to carpool at 8:30am at Belltower Coffee on Highland.

Click here to RSVP if you plan to attend so we can save a spot for you!

Sign this petition in advance, and read over it to learn more about this effort.

Upcoming there are two committee meetings you can attend. Both will be at RP Tracks.

Legislative Action Committee Meeting on June 20th at 7pm

Our Legislative Action Committee aims to:

  • Identify structural barriers to participating in local government;
  • Develop strategies to increase political engagement and participation among working people; and
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to foster collective action towards a more participatory and responsive local government.

Workplace Organizing Committee Meeting on June 24th at 6pm

The purpose of this committee broadly is to support efforts at unionization, labor solidarity, and worker cooperative formation in west Tennessee. Our Steering Committee strongly encourages attendance to help shape this work in its early stages.

Members and interested/supportive guests are more than welcome to attend.

Finally, you can read the minutes from our recent General Meeting on June 11th here. The meeting was well attended with new attendees and spirits were high. We hope you can attend our next General Meeting if you did not make this last one!
