You really can’t make this up… Vulnerable Republicans in Congress who voted AGAINST the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law because it included climate-friendly policies are now CELEBRATING the funds they are receiving in their districts.
Take Republican Nancy Mace, for example, who called it a “socialist wish list” and a “fiasco” but is now taking credit for her district receiving an additional $34 million.
Don’t be fooled this year when these Republicans try to brag about the investments we have been making in their communities.
It’s like the story of the Little Red Hen who finds some wheat and decides to make bread with it. When she asks the other farm animals to help, they refuse. But when she makes the bread herself and asks “Who will help me eat the bread?”, they all eagerly accept. (Of course, in the end, the hen refuses and eats the bread herself.)
We need more Little Red Hens in Congress and fewer of the other farmyard animals who refuse to be a part of the solution but are happy to take credit for other people’s successes.
We’ve had enough of Congressmembers who act like children!
