Last weekend we wrote to you about a church in Greenville, Mississippi that was targeted by the government during Holy Week.
After the city banned drive-in church services, eight uniformed police officers showed up to a Wednesday night drive-in service at Temple Baptist Church. They issued $500 tickets to church members in attendance who were listening to the pastor’s sermon from the safety of their own cars!
Since then, the city has claimed that it won’t collect on the $500 fines. But the city is still trying to enforce this unconstitutional ban against churches.
ADF has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Temple Baptist Church. And now, the federal government is getting involved too… |
