It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
I was extremely disappointed by the U.S. Supreme Court decision this week to overturn a federal appeals ruling that could have limited mail-order prescriptions for mifepristone, the drug now used in more than half of all U.S. abortions. If that’s not bad enough, far-left groups gruesomely celebrated the decision. For the party that purports to champion women’s rights, it sure does like to pick and choose when to support women. I, however, will not give up the fight for the right to life and empower women to choose life.
During the House Rules Committee hearing Tuesday, I had to remind my colleagues exactly why Attorney General Merrick Garland must be held in contempt of Congress. He not only ignored a duly-issued subpoena that would require the Department of Justice to produce the audio recordings of President Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, but is now hiding behind the guise of Biden’s executive privilege. Congress should stand united in any attempt to dissuade or undermine our rules, not justify the defense of executive privilege. No one is above the law. That includes Merrick Garland.
Speaking of above the law, Hunter Biden’s first criminal trial took place this week, where he was found guilty on three felony charges. However, we can’t let this distract from the fact that Biden’s DOJ is dragging its feet on all the other charges Hunter Biden should be facing now. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee, I will work to ensure accountability for ALL his wrongdoings. |
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support! With gratitude, |
