Hi folks, it’s Josh Stein, Democratic candidate for governor in North Carolina – and I need your help.

With fewer than five months left to decide this election, Cook Political Report just moved my race to a toss-up. Poll after poll shows me TIED with my extremist opponent. That means we can’t let up for a second, and we can’t risk making a SINGLE misstep, folks – because it could mean a dangerous, anti-abortion, far-right, Trump-endorsed candidate becomes the next Governor of North Carolina.

Folks, one thing about my campaign will always remain true: North Carolina is my home, and its future is worth fighting for.

Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to serving the people of North Carolina – as a consumer advocate, state senator, and Attorney General. In each of these roles, I have taken on big fights and won – standing up for our most fundamental rights and freedoms and defending the interests of North Carolinians at every turn.

Now, I’m ready to keep at it as Governor of North Carolina. I want to invest in our students and public schools, preserve reproductive health care access, and keep our communities safe. And without a doubt, I want to make sure that Mark Robinson does not become North Carolina’s next governor.

We deserve better than someone who has called public educators “wicked people,” has boasted that he has “AR-15s in case the government gets too big for its britches,” and has said time and time again that he wants a total ban on abortion with no exceptions for the life of the mother – or in instances of rape or incest.

But allow me to make this crystal clear: despite Robinson's extremism, he could win. North Carolina is a swing state, and this race is a top GOP target to flip. In fact, the Republicans in the legislature just changed the campaign finance rules in the middle of the election to flow millions in dark money to Robinson.

Our race will be won or lost on just the smallest margin of votes; statewide elections in North Carolina nearly always are. It’s going to take us all coming together to turn the tide in this toss-up race – and that includes you.
