John,

More than twenty years ago, I introduced the Dream Act – bipartisan legislation that would give undocumented immigrants who grew up in this country a chance to become American citizens.

And then in 2012, former President Obama announced the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that would soon change thousands of lives. To date, DACA has helped more than 834,000 Dreamers live the American Dream, which has been strengthened by President Biden over the last four years.

But that doesn't mean Dreamers haven't encountered their fair share of challenges. DACA continues to face scrutiny and uncertainty from MAGA Republicans and the court system, leaving many in jeopardy of losing their jobs or being deported. Even Donald Trump has called to end DACA if he wins in November.

Dreamers and immigrants are what make this country great, John. If extremist MAGA Republicans win back the White House and Congress, all of our hard work over the last two decades will be wiped away in an instant.

To make sure we continue to champion Dreamers, please donate $20 or more to elect Democrats nationwide and stop the MAGA agenda. [[link removed]]
