Future Coalition is the leading organization behind progressive youth activism. Our intergenerational team is providing young people with the tools, resources, and support to power their ideas and amplify their impact around the nation.

Dear Friend,

Happy Pride Month! We hope you’ve had an opportunity to safely celebrate Pride in your community this month (and all throughout the year!).

Right now, the near constant attacks on the LGBTQ+ community have made Pride celebrations more important than ever – as well as our civic duty to come together and vote in local elections.

In the last few years, extremist Republicans in state legislatures nationwide have proposed over 500 bills that attack LGBTQ+ rights and freedoms – with young trans & gender non-conforming Americans bearing the brunt of these attacks. Legislation like Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Bill, Tennessee's attempted ban on drag shows, and countless policies restricting gender-affirming care has become alarmingly more frequent and dangerous to the health and safety of LGBTQ+ Americans.

With nearly every state in the country facing attacks on LGBTQ+ rights, we all have a responsibility to use our votes at the ballot box this year – especially for candidates at the local and state levels, who have the most direct impact on anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in our home communities.

In solidarity,

Future Coalition
