John,
Today, Donald Trump is visiting my district.
He’ll be speaking at a right-wing convention hosted by Turning Point Action and will speak at an evangelical church in Detroit.
Voters need to be reminded that after Trump lost the 2020 election, he singled out majority-Black Detroit with his lies about voter fraud, even as whiter cities in Wayne County and other parts of the state had more unexplained unbalanced precincts.
Trump and the GOP have made clear how far they’re willing to go to undermine our democracy and sacrifice Black voters in particular, to maintain power. We’re fighting back against Republican attempts to disenfranchise millions of voters—particularly Black and brown voters—in Michigan and across the country.
Donate today to fight back against attempts to disenfranchise Black and brown voters and attempts to whitewash Trump’s January 6 deadly attempted coup at the U.S. Capitol where people came close to kidnapping and assassinating elected officials.
I am proud to have led the push to impeach Trump and hold him accountable since before I was elected to Congress. I ran for office in response to Trump’s attacks on marginalized communities―from his Muslim ban to putting immigrant children in cages to attacking trans people and working class people.
Now, as he runs for a second term, he is making promises to his billionaire and corporate donors to keep their taxes low. He even told Big Oil CEOs at a recent fundraiser in Houston, TX that he would fast track oil mergers, which hurt working people by driving up the price of gas at the pump as well as goods and services that require oil and gas for their production and delivery.
Help me continue to hold Donald Trump accountable for his bigoted, reckless agenda that attacks Black and brown communities while enriching those at the top. Donate today.

History will remember Donald Trump as the first U.S. president to be impeached twice―and will remember him for being the first president convicted of a felony; 34 felonies in fact.
Together, we must continue to hold Trump accountable for the future of our country, our communities, and our democracy.
Thank you,
Rashida
