A week ago we let you know that re:power has been working on pivoting our trainings to the digital space. As of today, we are thrilled to announce our new Online Learning Courses [[link removed]] [[link removed]] — a series of trainings to continue essential skills and capacity-building for the movement amid the COVID-19 crisis.

We’re kicking off these courses with four engineering courses aimed at getting data directors and digital organizers the skills they need to win and increase impact right now. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill courses that offer no practical application. re:power’s engineering courses perfectly blend hands-on small group learning with real-world organizing challenges that offer an explicit examination of how race, class, and gender impact our technology and organizing spaces. You’ll leave these courses with clear next steps and skills plus a group of folks to support you for years to come.

As you’ll see, re:power is offering sliding scale fees for these courses in acknowledgement of the financial crisis and resulting job losses that are occurring across the country.

In addition to these engineering courses, we’ve also launched our first Data Strategy Course where folks will do a deep dive into how data is used for advocacy and during the electoral cycle. The first cohort is only open to accepted applicants of the Las Vegas Data and Analytics Camp but stay tuned for future opportunities to attend.

Finally, we’ll be launching our Intro to Digital Organizing courses later this month - stay tuned for a more comprehensive update. A quick pro-tip: these courses will be offered to the movement for free and you won’t want to miss them.

We know you’re probably thinking, “Great—another f&*^!ing webinar”, but our online learning courses go far beyond the typical webinar—these trainings are designed to match the impact of our powerful in-person trainings we’ve been offering for the past 17 years. As an organizer, activist, or movement technologist, you understand that this is a critical time for our nation. We are facing a devastating health pandemic that continues to affect our most marginalized communities in greater proportions, leaving behind trauma and pain for those who survive. It is not lost of us that our movement not only needs capacity and skills-building— we also need a place to connect . These courses are a direct response to what we are hearing is needed today. And, it is not lost on us at re:power that we are in the most important election year of our lives.
