John,

Here’s the truth: The digital warfare facing our nation is scary and more
pressing than ever while we’re all stuck inside on our phones and facing
an important election year. But yesterday, we brought together digital
experts to explore the threat to our nation, and how we can fix it.

Experts agree: The dangers in our digital world are clear and present.
Fake news and digital manipulation, powered by algorithms designed to
exploit our humanity, are driving conspiracy theories, invading our
privacy, and endangering our democratic processes. But the path forward is
just as clear: The only way to win the digital war is with a government
that represents the people, not Big Tech interests and lobbyists.

And to get there, we need to create a massive, bipartisan movement to
unrig the system and end corruption. Livestreams like this can be a great
way to reach more people, and plug them into the movement. [ [link removed] ]Watch the
recap video, and share it with your friends and family on social media or
over email to spread the word.

Our speakers said it best: What’s done quickly can be undone quickly. But
the solution to the tech problem isn’t in computer code, it’s at the
ballot box. It’s political will. It’s having a government that responds to
the needs of Americans and takes action to protect our institutions from
digital warfare. Until we end corruption, we won’t make progress on this
or any issue you care about.

But here’s the good news: The movement to end political corruption is
winning. This progress is only thanks to the thousands of volunteers and
small-dollar donors that power this movement. And to keep winning, we’ll
need your help. [ [link removed] ]Share this video with five friends to bring more people
into this movement, and boost anti-corruption campaigns across the
country.

If we do nothing, then nothing changes. But when we come together, unite
across divides, and work towards a common purpose, we are unstoppable.
That’s why I echo the words speaker Shoshana Zuboff said in our
livestream: “I have nothing but hope.”

We hope to see you at the next Unrig Roundtable (details coming soon!).
Until then, stay safe.
