Our Candidate for the 2024 General Election   THE ENGLISH DEMOCRATS PARTY NAMES THÉRÈSE HIRST AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION  Thérèse Hirst, our Deputy Chairman, will be standing in the Bradford South constituency. ELECTION CHIP IN Thérèse was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire and has lived in the local area for most of her life. Despite being from a very humble background she went on to achieving degrees from Durham and Leeds universities in Theology and Law and later completed her PGDL from the College of Law, York. Although her early career was in teaching she has spent many years working in her local community advising and representing people mainly on debt and benefits, and planning problems without charge. She was a board member of South Bradford Community Housing Trust and the non-partisan campaign group - Campaign for an Independent Britain that met at Portcullis House, Westminster. Her entry into politics has seen her elected leader of the former Brexit party, Veritas founded by Robert Kilroy-Silk, and more recently Deputy Chairman of the English Democrats. Thérèse has stood in several general and mayoral elections and is proud to have come second in the Batley and Spen Bye-election in 2016. Her time is now mainly shared between her family, her politics and raising awareness of the decline in native species and damage to the environment England has witnessed over the past decades. She believes passionately in the idea of the sovereign nation, that it is now time for England to cede from the Union, and rejects wholeheartedly the globalist agenda. Vote Thérèse Hirst!
