I went on CNN today to share what’s at stake after the ultraconservative Supreme Court’s dangerous decision to overturn a regulatory ban on bump stocks.

Their ruling is incredibly offensive. Bump stocks function as machine guns, and this ruling will undoubtedly cost American lives.

I have led the fight to ban bump stocks for years now. This decision will drag us backward. Meanwhile, my multimillionaire Republican challenger opposes commonsense gun safety reform. It’s never been more important to reach voters who share our priorities — including protecting our communities from dangerous devices like bump stocks.

I will keep lifting up our shared values every chance I get, but I am counting on your support to get the word out and keep the Senate in Democratic hands. A new poll shows me neck and neck with my challenger, a former hedge fund executive. We can’t afford to scale back on our voter outreach with so much at stake.
