Friend,

The Paycheck Protection Program, part of the COVID-19 relief package passed by
Congress last month, is a popular tool to help our small businesses withstand
the pause in our economy. If utilized to pay and retain employees and maintain
business operations, the loans convert into grants.

Unfortunately, the PPP fund is almost depleted.

There’s a lot of anxiety as small businesses worry the loan money will run out

President Trump has called upon Congress to replenish the PPP fund. I support
small business and the President’s request. Keeping our Main Street businesses
afloat and in position to ramp up quickly when America’s economy fully reopens
is critical.

But, according to script, Nancy Pelosi and congressional Democrats are
blocking PPP funding in an attempt to increase spreading for their left wing
priorities by an additional $500 billion. As small businesses teeter on the
brink of bankruptcy, Pelosi plays politics.

Once again, I call upon the Democrats to join us and band together to do
what’s right for the American people.

I will always do my best to defend the economic interests of southern
Minnesota and reflect your views and values.

Respectfully,
