Pride Month Primary Wins!

We are excited to report that several of our endorsed candidates in Iowa, New Jersey, New Mexico, and an approved candidate in West Virginia won their respective elections! Unfortunately, Joeigh Perella and SK Rossi came up short in their respective primaries in New Jersey and Montana.

Aime Wichtendahl in Iowa, Rep. Zooey Zephyr in Montana, and Rep. Kameron Nelson in South Dakota were uncontested in their state legislative primaries. In New Mexico, Sen. Leo Jaramillo and Sen. Carrie Hamblen both advanced without opposition.

Great news from Charleston County, South Carolina, where incumbent Sheriff Kristin Graziano is unopposed in her Democratic primary! Kristin is facing a tough reelection campaign in November due to the conversative tilt of the state. Learn more about her potential opponents here!

Also unopposed were Nevada State Senator Dallas Harris and Ryan Hampton, running for the Nevada State Assembly, State Senator Ryan Braunberger in North Dakota, as well as Rep. Matt Moonen, Rep. Amy Roeder, and former Rep. Ryan Fecteau in Maine. Austin Foss is unopposed in North Dakota for the primary and general election for his race to represent District 44 in the North Dakota House of Representatives!

Incumbent Nevada State Assembly candidate Cecelia Gonzalez sounded defeated her primary opponent. Watch her latest campaign video here!

Coming up next: we will have LGBTQ+ candidates on the ballot in Oklahoma, Georgia (for the runoffs) and local races in Virginia

Sarah McBride Clears the Field!

Exciting news from the Delaware primaries: Sarah McBride has cleared the primary field, all but ensuring a primary win! There is still time for an opponent to jump into the race. If no opponent does, however, she’s well on the way to becoming the first out trans person EVER elected to the U.S. Congress!!!

Honoring Pulse

LGBTQ+ activists, allies and LGBTQ+ candidates around the U.S. honored and remember the Pulse shooting this week, posting touching testimonials about the victims lives and uplifting their memories.

As Carlos Guillermo Smith stated in the aftermath of the shooting, “The silver lining after the horrible tragedy that we lived through in Orlando was not only how our community came together to push back against homophobia and bigotry, but that a new generation of unapologetic leaders rose from the ashes.”

We are honored to help elect a new generation of LGBTQ+ leaders in Florida. Learn more about their campaigns here.
