As a U.S. Congressman, I know the importance of a candidate who is ready to get the job done no matter the obstacles in the way. Teresa is the only candidate in the field who has won elections in Georgia. She has not only governed; she has governed well with a proven track record of success. As Georgia’s last Democratic Senator Max Cleland said: Teresa is the only candidate who will be ready on Day One.

In 2018, inspired by all the new energy and determination I was seeing across the nation, I set out to boost and fund some of the best young candidates — we called them the Future 40. We won 29 of those races, the key to our House majority and our power to fight for justice. Now, with Senate leadership more important than ever, I'm doing all I can to help retake the majority there, too. Democrats can win this and transform our government for years to come.

These are serious times for serious, experienced leaders like Teresa Tomlinson. Teresa led Columbus, Georgia for 8 years as mayor, public safety director and head of Homeland Security. She is the leader I trust to take this fight to David Perdue and help Democrats take back the Senate majority from Mitch McConnell.
