This is Amy Brown – my husband Sam Brown just won the Republican nomination
for U.S. Senate in Nevada.



I first met my husband in the burn unit when he returned from Afghanistan
after a roadside bomb exploded under his vehicle.



There was one thing about Sam that caught my attention immediately. It wasn't
the burns on his body, it wasn't the scars on the face.



His vibrant faith in God glowed brightly even in his darkest days. Everyone
who encountered him could see Sam is different.



Sam likes to say his life is not his own. Sam's life changed when he was
injured in Afghanistan, but his identity did not.



His faith never wavered. His hope never left him. His dedication to lead a
life of service to others only grew stronger.



Sam has an uncanny ability to relate and connect with people. He's able to
talk about hard things. And he's not afraid of confrontation.
