Last week, Senate Republicans blocked a bill that would enshrine a federal right to contraception, voting it down en masse while smearing the idea as a “political stunt.”
They showed their true colors and left the door open for the Supreme Court to overturn our right to contraception — as Clarence Thomas has already indicated he wants to do — and strip that right away from us just like they did with abortion.
If Trump’s extremists on the Supreme Court get their way and overturn the right to contraception, the Senate will be our last hope. But Sen. Baldwin’s GOP challenger, millionaire banker Eric Hovde, has already declared that he’d support a national abortion ban if he’s elected in November, and you can be damn sure he's going to rubber-stamp any and every rollback of our freedoms that get put in front of him.
Senator Baldwin has been a staunch defender of reproductive rights for her entire career, and she’ll lead the charge to not only defend contraception but also restore access to abortion for ALL Americans.
