The movement to stop genocide in
Gaza just forced Joe Biden to bring a ceasefire proposal to the UN,
after blocking such proposals for months. That alone
shows the growing power of this movement.
In reality, Biden could stop the
genocide today, simply by stopping the flow of weapons to Israel -
which is already illegal under US law that prohibits arming countries
that are slaughtering civilians. But Biden won’t
actually stop the genocide unless we make him - and here’s
how.
Right now, with ballot lines in 23
states already and an upcoming legal challenge to New York’s
authoritarian ballot access laws, we are the only anti-genocide,
pro-worker campaign on track to be on the ballot in every state.
That’s a threat Biden can’t ignore - and it means we
are putting real political pressure on him, in a way no one else can,
to stop enabling Israel’s genocide.
This is more urgent than ever as
the UN Food Program has said the famine caused by Israel’s food
blockade could kill 1 million Gazans in the next
month.
We have the power to make Biden
stop this - IF we keep building momentum by challenging empire on the
ballot across the country. If we want more than lip service to a
hypothetical ceasefire, we can’t let up now.
With just 10 days left until the deadline to get on the
Illinois ballot, we need everyone to go all in to make sure every single voter has a
choice on the ballot to stop endless war and genocide. We have a powerhouse team of community
organizers working to get the tens of thousands of signatures we need
in Illinois - but we have to raise $60,000 by the end of this week to
pay them for their work so they can keep going.
With 1 million lives hanging by a thread, we
must rise to meet this
moment. Please contribute whatever you can turn up the heat on

and force him to stop the killing.
