Wednesday evening I voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress. He has refused to comply with our subpoena to issue the audio tapes from President Biden's classified documents interview which the American people have every right to hear as part of our commitment to transparency in government.
Thursday began with our Ways and Means hearing over the rise of antisemitism on college campuses and the failures of university leadership to hold students and faculty accountable. One of our witnesses, a recent Cornell graduate, testified that the university leadership dismissed threats against Jewish students, violent sentiments from Hamas sympathizers, and the rabidly antisemitic environment on campus.
