Port of Tacoma Commission to Meet June 18

Port of Tacoma Commissioners on June 18 will consider approving the square footage for the new Port business center building, international travel for commissioners, a contract for video production and streaming services, and an interlocal agreement with Tacoma Public Schools to provide funding for the Summer Certification Program. Commissioners will also consider proclamations honoring Willie Adams and LGBTQ Pride Month.

Port Commissioners on May 21 approved $169,200 for local governments and nonprofits from the Local Economic Development Investment Fund. The investments are designed to promote Washington State-based international trade, business recruitment or retention, tourism, or infrastructure efforts in Pierce County. New Report on Puget Sound Maritime-Related Air Emissions 

A new report released by the Puget Sound Maritime Air Forum highlights a continued decrease in maritime-related air pollutant emissions across the Puget Sound region, through 2021.
