 1. Bob is in a highly competitive race. Many think of Washington as a
“safe blue” state. They’re wrong. Cook Political Reports just changed
our race from Likely Democrat to Lean Democrat — a clear indicator
that this race is an increasingly tight contest.
 2. An extreme, anti-choice Republican is running against Bob. The Seattle
Times describes Reichert as “an anti-abortion stalwart” and Reichert
himself was just caught at a private event saying “I love Donald
Trump’s policies.” Reproductive freedom and democracy are on the
ballot in Washington this year.
 3. Our fundraising is falling behind! Not only did we fall short of our
May fundraising goal by $38,000, we just found out that anti-choice
Republican Dave Reichert outraised us in the first week of June.
