Speaker Johnson would rather force people to continue working than make millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share.
John,
If Trump wins the presidency, this guy will be the Speaker of the House:
When he discussed Social Security and Medicare, he repeated standard Republican talking points:
We are drowning in debt. We have to think about long-term reforms to these programs so that we can keep them.
What was unusual is that the host actually tried to pin him down on what he meant by “reforms.” Johnson said the answer was to raise the retirement age. And we know that each year of increase amounts to a 7% benefit cut.
Speaker Johnson would rather force people to continue working than make millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share.
