BREAKING — MAGA Republicans in the U.S. House have just voted 209-197 to advance a military construction appropriations bill that would:
❌ Block funding for climate change and clean energy initiatives ❌ Completely eliminate environmental justice programs ❌ Try to resurrect the Keystone XL pipeline
This is bad, Friend — this is just the first of twelve FY2025 budget bills in the House, and it would be devastating if it becomes law. But if we can hand MAGA Republicans an early loss, we can put them on notice that the environmental movement is not to be messed with.
LCV is leading the charge to rally environmentalists across the country and put pressure on policymakers to reject Big Polluters’ dirty agenda. But we need the support of our members to put our plans into action and keep pressure on Congress.
