House of Priorities

Good morning! 

I'm thrilled to share the modernization of our *DSHS House of Health and Human Services [ [link removed] ]*, demonstrating DDA’s deep commitment to the community. Our priorities, shaped by input from clients, staff, leaders, union partners, and other government partners, guide our path forward.  

The DSHS priorities, shown in our house diagram, serve as the top guiding principles for all administrations. Below are examples of the work DDA is involved in, emphasizing the importance of these priorities:


* Technology Innovation: We are modernizing our use of technology to streamline processes and efficiently deliver quality supports & services.
* Operational Excellence: We will develop a Quality Management System to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our supports & services.
* Advance Person-Centered Services: We will be opening Lake Burien Youth Transitional Care Facility ensuring youth receive the proper care needed.
* Employer of Choice: We have heard from staff and value their feedback. We are focusing our efforts to ensure staff feels they belong to this administration, feel supported during organizational change and are provided with learning opportunities and professional development.

With these shared priorities, we will overcome obstacles and serve with unwavering resilience. DDA’s commitment to this vision ensures that we continue to enhance the quality of life for the people we serve, fostering a healthier and more inclusive community.
