Did you hear the latest update on our #TX07 race? Following Texas’ primary election runoffs, the field is set for the general election and Lizzie has a Republican opponent.
Like candidates before her, this new challenger has said she wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would take away affordable health care options from more than 3 million Texans. Lizzie knows this is not right for the district, or for Texas. She has fought to expand health care access for Texans, to make it more affordable, and, of course, to protect the freedom for us to make our own reproductive health care decisions.
We know we can’t take anything for granted. That’s why we’re going to work as hard as we always have to tell voters about the work Lizzie is doing in Congress—including how she’s helped lower prescription drug costs and fought back against extreme abortion bans—but people need to know Lizzie has an opponent.
I’m keeping a close eye on our numbers, especially right now when we’re about two weeks out from the next FEC reporting deadline. Reaching our fundraising benchmarks ensures we can run a strong field operation, send mail to voters, and run digital and print ads.
Those efforts will help turn out voters across the district for not only Lizzie but Democrats up and down the ballot, too, which includes helping Colin Allred win the Senate race.
As Campaign Treasurer, I know one of the most important things we can do to make sure Lizzie can continue fighting for us in Congress is to raise as much money as we can and reach our fundraising goals.
Please consider contributing ahead of this month’s end-of-quarter FEC reporting deadline to help us prepare for Election Day.
Thank you for your support!
