Howdy John,
I've always been thrilled to be born today on Flag Day, which means I share my birthday with the first American flag's birthday – a great opportunity to celebrate another trip around the sun in the good ol' USA!
Then something horrible happened: Donald Trump became president, and I realized we had the same birthday. 😭
Since then, my birthday has been a little, well, annoying to celebrate -- but it's made Flag Day resonate with me more than ever, and we have a lot to celebrate today about our hard work to continue the American experiment.
Over the past year we’ve launched The 546 Project to re-engage 13,000 voters in CD3 and The Horizon Project, our deep canvassing program to communicate with thousands of voters in CD8. This helps us grow our democracy by running better campaigns that respect our voters by communicating with them year-round, not just when we need their vote.
We’ve also launched the Colorado County Comeback, which invests critical funds towards digital advertising and direct voter communication efforts in battleground counties across the state in rural and metro areas alike. We’re building innovative and strong campaigns ready to win in places we've never competed as aggressively in.
This is how we beat Donald Trump and his threats to undermine our Constitution.
So, the best gift I could ask for today is for your support. All of this work and progress takes time, money, and a whole lot of care.
