Team,

While I breathed a sigh of relief yesterday knowing that access to medication abortion remains unchanged for now, I was just as angry as Nancy. It's not a win, abortion is still banned in 14 states and almost entirely inaccessible in others.

There's work to do, and your support right now would go a long way to fuel the fight to protect abortion against increasing threats. Make a gift right now and it will be matched SIX TIMES up to our $150,000 goal.

Two generous donors have stepped up to make this match possible, and now we need dedicated supporters like you, team, to step up too. Will you help fuel the fight for abortion access?

We can't do this without you.

Subject: [BREAKING] U.S. Supreme Court rules on medication abortion

All gifts matched

Team,

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court threw out anti-abortion advocates' claims that could have severely restricted access to the abortion pill mifepristone—a safe and effective medication that was approved by the FDA over 20 years ago.

Access to medication abortion remains unchanged for now, but we know that the attacks will continue.

FIGHT BACK

I’m both relieved and angry: this is the right decision, but it's not a 'win' for abortion—it just maintains the status quo at a time when 14 states have already banned abortion entirely, and many more ban abortion as early as six weeks of pregnancy. Despite the Court's ruling today, medication abortion remains subject to state abortion bans and restrictions.

This case never should have gotten this far—as we've said before it had no basis in fact or law and the lower courts should never have let it go forward.

While we wait for the Court to decide another critical abortion case this session, your support will fuel the Center's fight to protect abortion access no matter the threat. Are you with us?

Onward,
