John,
We’re in the midst of an information crisis.
Donald Trump, an aspiring autocrat with 34 felony convictions (and counting), is at the top of the presidential ticket. The mainstream media still doesn’t know how to cover him honestly, and right-wing media is propping him up.
Meanwhile, local newsrooms around the country are closing their doors, leaving millions of Americans in ‘news deserts’ without access to factual local coverage.
COURIER is different because we deliver our factual, local journalism directly to the newsfeeds, inboxes and other online spaces where people actually get their news.
So, with just five months remaining until Election Day, we want to know: how do you get your news? Your responses are critical because they will help our newsrooms fight disinformation and reach new audiences who don’t have access to quality local news at a moment in history when access to good journalism is more important than ever.

Your insight will be invaluable to our local newsrooms as they fight back against right-wing disinformation and get factual, original content to those who need it most.
How and where we get our news is constantly changing. With the disappearance of local newsrooms and the spread of misinformation on social media, people are more vulnerable than ever to the conspiracy theories spread by right-wing bad actors.
At COURIER, our ten battleground newsrooms aim to fill these gaps by serving free, high-quality journalism on the issues that matter most.
A critical part of our success is our ability to stay one step ahead of trends in news consumption. That’s what makes your input so important — with your help, we can better serve local communities.
Understanding how our supporters get their news allows us to better serve the local communities who need our content the most. So we’re asking: will you take our 90-second News Consumption Survey? [[link removed]]
