Governor Kelly Issues
Special Session Proclamation

TOPEKA *— Today, Governor Laura Kelly issued the formal proclamation declaring that the Kansas Legislature reconvene for a special session next week to pass responsible, sustainable tax relief for all Kansans. 

“When legislators return for a special session on Tuesday, I look forward to working with them to swiftly deliver responsible, meaningful tax cuts for all Kansans,” *Governor Laura Kelly said.* “We are poised to put money back in Kansans’ pockets while maintaining our state’s strong fiscal foundation.” 

The proclamation follows Governor Kelly’s May 29 announcement [ [link removed] ] of the special session. The special session will take place beginning at 9:00 AM CT on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
