Here’s something I want you to know about me: I’m not your typical politician.

I’ve spent my career dedicated to service to my community. From my time as NASA Chief of Staff under Obama, to creating hundreds of jobs in the Antelope Valley, to founding a wildfire prevention organization.

Running for Congress wasn’t on my bingo card. I decided to run because it became overwhelmingly clear that Mike Garcia isn’t cut out for the job. Instead of representing our community, he’d rather cozy up to the extreme far-right reaches of his party.

I know that a lot of people – both in CA-27 and beyond – agree with me. Our race is listed as a toss-up by political experts, and the national GOP has taken notice. They’ve reserved $30 million in ad space in California, with $18 million in Los Angeles.

We’re about to be hit by a wave of attacks ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline. There’s no better time to show the power of this movement and prove that we have what it takes to unseat Garcia and bring real leadership to Congress.
