A second Trump term would impact LGBTQ rights. Here's how we'll respond.

ACLU Supporter, Donald Trump spent his four years as president using the full force of the federal government to strip back protections for LGBTQ people.

And he's threatened to go even further if he gets re-elected. <[link removed]> He's promised to roll back anti-discrimination policies and even mandate discrimination by schools and health care providers, threatening LGBTQ people's access to fair employment, housing, education, health care, and so much more. He plans to ban trans people from serving in the military or accessing needed health care through federal programs like Medicare. And we can expect that he'll even weaponize the federal government against state-level protections too – using his power to criminalize gender nonconformity and override state laws.

Our experts broke down exactly what a potential second Trump term would look like for LGBTQ rights – from the impacts we can expect to our plan to respond – in the courts, in statehouses, and in the streets.
