The trailer for The Grab, our new documentary premiering today
Hi,

After seven years of filming and traveling around the world to uncover hidden truths, we are thrilled to finally announce the premiere of our documentary film The Grab today, June 14.

The film will be playing in theaters in New York; Los Angeles; San Francisco; and Scottsdale, Arizona, with special events on select dates. I hope to see you there!

If you can’t make it to a theater, good news: The Grab is now also widely available to rent online.

The Grab is a documentary thriller featuring hard-hitting journalism from the Center for Investigative Reporting Studios and directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, director of Blackfish. We take you around the globe, from China to Russia and the boardrooms of Wall Street, to reveal one of the world’s biggest and least-known threats: Quietly and seemingly out of sight, governments, private investors and mercenaries are working to seize food and water resources at the expense of entire populations. These groups are establishing themselves as the new OPEC, where the future world powers will be those who control not oil, but food and water.

This is the kind of deeply reported investigative journalism your support helps bring to fruition. I hope you’ll go see The Grab in theaters or watch this heart-pounding thriller from the comfort of your couch, knowing that your commitment to our work played a role in bringing this investigation to light.

Thank you,

Nate Halverson
